§ To prepare and serve in line with agreed procedures all Food & Beverage in the hotel during the night shift.
§ To attend HACCP training as required and to follow best practice when preparing food and drink.
§ To assist guests with the movement of luggage to and from the bedroom.
§ To set and maintain conference rooms if required to do so.
§ To distribute newspapers to guest bedrooms in line with the agreed procedure. Newspapers will also be delivered to the restaurant and floors.
§ To assist customers who need assistance with any information that they require.
§ To deep clean on a nightly basis the lobby floor, any glass around the lobby area, the lifts, the toilets, the bar and restaurant area. This will involve use of the buffing machine.
§ To patrol the guest bedroom floors collecting all the room service breakfast cards.
§ To prepare and serve the early guest room service cards in accordance with the agreed standards. These trays must be delivered in a timely manner.
§ To maintain and check the toilets, both banqueting and public, on an hourly basis. To clean the toilets if they become soiled or blocked.
§ To maintain the Lobby and Public Areas are maintained to standard at all times these areas are of paramount importance and must never fall below the agreed standards.
§ To delivery wake up calls on time to guests
§ To adhere to security, cash and key control procedures at all times
§ To adhere to the Responsible of Alcohol Policy
§ To assist housekeeping as required. This will involve moving rollaway beds, cots as required.
§ To follow all procedures when escorting guests to and from the outlets. This will involve explaining the outlets to customers and the facilities in the bedrooms.
§ To maintain the porters storeroom in a clean and professional working order.
§ To ensure that a lobby presence is maintained at all times.
§ To assist guests with any requests that they may have. This involves going that “Extra Mile” to ensure guest satisfaction.
§ To polish guests shoes if required.
§ To report any suspicious behaviour to security.
§ To assist the F&B team in keeping lobby tables, counters and furniture team.
§ To provide support in other areas of the hotel if required to do so.
§ To ensure that all postings from the nights shift are charged correctly onto guests bills.
§ To assist guests in making restaurant/flight/taxi reservations and provide the guest with a reservation card.
§ To clean bedrooms if required to do so by the manager on duty during the night time shift.
§ To empty ashtrays and bins on a periodic basis throughout the day.
