As Channels Technical Lead you will be a part of a dynamic team working alongside like-minded professionals who have a broad range of experience and backgrounds across Technology and Business functions, delivering new functionality directly to our customers.

In this Role, you will

  • Work with our Channels Engineering Squads responsible for designing and developing new features and functionality on our digital platforms.
  • Accountable for identifying, analysing, designing and developing new features within our suite of channels web and mobile solutions.
  • Responsible for the creation and reviewing of logical and low level designs working with other technical leads and solution architects within the Channels squads
  • Experienced in software design and development techniques using various programming languages and related tools HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Cordova, React, Java, Spring framework.
  • Perform code reviews, defect triage and fixing, unit testing, providing support for integration testing and non-functional testing
  • Participate and engage with all partners in the full software development lifecycle, analysis, design, development and unit test
  • Present strong coaching and mentoring capabilities including the ability to work closely with other engineering leads and solution architects to improve standards and ensure implementation of engineering standard methodologies
  • Engage and collaborate with DevOps to improve factory CI/CD capability
  • Continuously seek out and highlight opportunities where assets or capabilities could be created / adopted to improve delivery velocity
  • Contribute to the squad sprint ceremonies, providing feedback to ensure that the squad and function continuously improves
  • Develop and support the service catalogue approach to drive re-use and improve efficiency and effectiveness of delivery

What will make you stand out?

You are a Senior or Lead Developer in an Agile environment with a passion for complex problem solving and automation.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Java and/or Spring Framework development and design experience in mobile iOS (Swift/ObjectiveC) or Android(Java/Kotlin) or React Native and/or web applications (HTML, Javascript).

You have a passion for design principles, patterns and practices and the ability to mentor and lead a team producing quality, scalable solutions, ensuring the best practises and principles are adopted and adhered too.

You will need experience in interfacing with RESTful services & experience integrating 3rd party SDK and custom UI design, transitions, animations and interactions.

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • Knowledge of SDK performance and optimisation techniques
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns
  • Knowledge of SAFe Agile Software Engineering
  • Experience with UXP/Temenos

Essential Qualifications

  • BSc or MSc in Engineering or Computer Science based discipline
