Retail Assistant Role
We are seeking an Ambient & Fresh Food Retail Sales Assistant whose main purpose will be to support the Farm Shop Management Team to drive the sales and general performance of all areas in the shop.

Working in close collaboration with the Farm Shop Manager your responsibilities will include the following:
1. Attendance for opening and closing of the shop in line with notified duty roster.
2. Following all key holding and overall security operations in line with agreed procedures
3. Assisting with all day to day retail sales operations while on duty,
4. Completion and maintenance of stock records to ensure proper rotation of stock and re-ordering as required
5. Ensuring highest quality presentation and display of stock is achieved at all times
6. Correct operation of point of sale scanning equipment and associated till operations
7. Balancing and reconciliation of till cash receipts on a daily basis as required
8. Continuous operation of a robust shop cleaning procedure to “best practice standards” as required by the Shop Manager and Environmental Health Officer
9. Any other reasonable task or duty that may be assigned to you from time to time
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Previous experience of retail operations preferably in a fresh food environment.
- An outgoing and friendly personality
- Ability to work as part of a flexible team
- Experience of using electronic till systems
