Key Responsibilities:
1. Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests are noted and communicated to the kitchen/barista team.
- Provide recommendations from the menu and answer customer inquiries about products and services.
- Communicate effectively with fellow team members, ensuring smooth coordination during busy hours.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and barista staff to ensure seamless order preparation and delivery.
2. Food and Beverage Preparation
- Assist in preparing simple food items such as sandwiches, salads, and pastries.
- Prepare and serve beverages, including coffee, tea, and other drinks, following café recipes and standards.
- Occasionally assist the barista team with making local or chai-based drinks, ensuring high-quality and consistent beverages by adhering to the SOP.
3. Cleaning and Maintenance
- Maintain a clean and organized café environment throughout the day, including dining areas, counters, and equipment.
- Regularly clear tables, clean surfaces, and dispose of trash to uphold a hygienic and inviting atmosphere.
4. Adhoc Barista Duties
- Collaborate with the barista team during busy periods to help with beverage preparation and ensuring orders are delivered promptly.
- Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment to prepare espresso-based drinks with attention to detail and consistency.
5. Use of Point of Sale (POS) system
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, including processing payments and returning change.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process orders and generate receipts.
7. Customer Interaction
- Engage with customers in a polite, respectful, and attentive manner, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Handle customer feedback professionally and escalate issues to the appropriate cafe supervisor when necessary.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure food handling, preparation, and serving meet regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality setting is preferred.
- Basic understanding of food and beverage preparation and service.
- Ability to multitask and remain composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Knowledge of drinks (coffee and tea) preparation is good to have
- Cash handling experience and familiarity with POS system.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Advantageous to have Food Safety Certificate Level 1, otherwise company will send you for the course (company sponsored).
Work Schedule
The General Worker/Service Crew position.
Our operating hours is from 730am to 530pm.
We are open to full time and part time students, interns and elderly persons. We provide other internship opportunities for students from existing schools as part of school fulfillment.
Preferably looking for Singaporeans/PRs as we dont have enough quota for other pass as of now.

Salary: $1,300.00 - $2,000.00 per month
